ILCU Foundation Welcomes New Board Members

Dublin, 26th June 2015 – The ILCU Foundation has welcomed new board members following the 2015 Annual General Meeting which was held in the ILCU office on Lower Mount Street.

John Long, from Killarney Credit Union Ltd. and Vivienne Keavey, from Malahide Credit Union Ltd., were elected for the appointment of the two non-league director positons.

Patrick Fay, John Mullen and Eamonn Sharkey were elected to the ILCU nominated positions.

ILCU Foundation Chairman, Pat Fay, said, “The ILCU Foundation is delighted to welcome our new colleagues to the board of directors. They will play a key role in guiding the ILCU Foundation with the implementation of our Strategic Plan 2013-2018 and ensure the successful delivery of its ongoing projects. The ILCU Foundation is making huge progress towards poverty reduction and increasing financial inclusion amongst the poor and these appointments will bring new skills and knowledge to the work of the ILCU Foundation which will contribute towards a vibrant and successful future.

On behalf of the ILCU Foundation I would like to extend my regards to the other unsuccessful suggested candidates, this year the ILCU Foundation saw a huge increase in the number of applications which it received, nine people had put their names forward for the two non-league director positons.”
